The event, dedicated to the Day of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was organized by Sh. Yessenov Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering and the Association of Research Centers and State Universities of the Caspian Sea Countries.
Konstantin Markelov, the Rector of Astrakhan State University and Chairman of the Commission for Science, Research and Technology, established within the framework of the Association, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
“Being an efficient communication platform, the international symposium is designed to intensify scientific and technical cooperation and create conditions for the development and implementation of joint projects in the field of science and high technologies,” he said.
During his report, the ASU rector spoke about the strategic projects envisaged by the Priority 2030 development programme which are key for the Caspian region. At the end of his speech, the rector of ASU wished all the symposium participants fruitful work and noted the importance of the event for promoting and developing the best achievements in science and engineering, stimulating research initiatives, and also invited them to take part in the 2nd international scientific forum «Caspian Region 2022: Sustainable Development Trajectories», which will be held on May 22-24 in Astrakhan.
