The Moscow International Education Fair (MIEF) is being held on October 6-8 at Crocus Expo, Moscow. Konstantin Markelov is also among the speakers of the large-scale event.
Today, the rector of Astrakhan State University has acted as an expert at discussion platform «New digital opportunities for Russian universities: government measures to support the IT industry and strengthen the HR in the regions.»
“Over the past two years, there has been a revolution in higher education, both in programmes and in-house processes and in the minds of the faculty staffs, managers and students themselves. For us, today’s digitalization is about specific solutions at the level of the university, region and businesses, and many of them are interconnected,” stressed ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov.
The discussion platform participants considered ways to solve a number of key tasks — to develop e-sports, to increase the demand for domestic IT solutions, to ensure accelerated digital transformation of the economic and social sectors, to strengthen human resources, and to create a comfortable environment for doing IT business in Russia.
At the end of the event, the participants discussed the issue of digital maturity and new media, and exchanged views and ideas on further work.
