Rector of ASU at YESSENOV FORUM: Caspian University Needs University Networking

The international event is taking place in Aktau, Republic of Kazakhstan. Konstantin Markelov spoke at the expert panel “Generation Z: Nomads of the New Era”, presenting the development programme of Astrakhan State University and the Caspian region to his colleagues.

The meeting was attended by rectors of Caspian and Kazakhstani universities, students, stakeholders, and experts, who are opinion leaders in the higher education industry; the event venue was the Sh. Yessenov Caspian State University of Technologies and Engineering (Yessenov University).

Participants of panel discussion “Generation Z: Nomads of the New Era” discussed the unique role of the Commonwealth of Caspian universities and the way in which the new ambitions of universities can impact the development of the Association of State Universities of Caspian Sea Region Countries.

In his speech, Konstantin Markelov noted the importance of transforming the educational process and building permanent scientific cooperation. According to the rector of ASU, such actions will contribute to the development of the Greater Caspian Sea countries.

Konstantin Markelov told his colleagues about the development programme of Astrakhan State University and also spoke about the university’s participation in the Priority 2030 programme and the implementation of five strategic projects aimed at enhancing the importance of the Caspian region on the global stage. The rector also stressed the importance of the work of the Association of State Universities of Caspian Sea Region Countries in this area.
