ASU Improves Ways to Implement Strategic Projects

Within the framework of the project and analytical session, the staff of Astrakhan State University and the experts of the SocioCenter federal state scientific institution, studied the prospects for the Priority 2030 programme of strategic academic leadership and found ways to solve the primary tasks.

A special commission on updating the university development programme in compliance with the federal agenda, the tasks of national projects and the needs of the regional economy worked at ASU for three days. During this period, a large-scale group work of the university staff was carried out in strategically important areas.

The result of this work was a tremendous progress towards solving many issues that the university faces in the planning horizon until 2030.

For example, in order to eliminate the discoordination of the work of structural units and build a well-functioning inter-management cooperation, a special environment for storing data in the public domain will be created. Vice-ASU Rector for Digitalization, Innovations and Priority Projects Aleksey Titov announced this at the final meeting. He also stressed the need to rebuild all strategic projects, primarily for the internal focus of teams.

In addition, the final meeting participants decided to assign a supervisor to each strategic project, who, together with the leader, will solve current issues.

According to ASU Rector Konstantin Markelov, the funds for the implementation of the strategic project tasks must be distributed through the allocation of internal grants, which should increase the efficiency of their development. Greater ambitions are needed in order to scale development to a wider range of stakeholders at the team level.
