ASU Strategic Project Is Designed to Ensure Food and Technological Security of the Russian Part of the Caspian Region

Representatives of the scientific community and the administration of Astrakhan State University have discussed ways to promote the university’s strategic initiative “Caspian Incubator of Agrobiotechnologies” within the framework of the Priority 2030 development programme.

Acting Dean of the Faculty of Agribusiness, Technology & Veterinary Medicine, Associate Professor of the Department of Agrotechnologies, Engineering and Agribusiness Rinat Dubin, who is the project leader, spoke about the progress of implementation of the strategic project.

Listening to his presentation, the audience learned about participants and partners of the project, about the performance of such indicators for 2021 as the implementation of educational policy, including additional professional education programmes, the total number of subprojects, scientific and innovative activities, etc. In addition, Rinat Dubin spoke about equipping the laboratories and shared his plans for 2022 with the audience.

During the discussion, the colleagues formulated recommendations for solving primary tasks, optimizing costs and improving the project architecture.

The colleagues also raised the issue of scientific results and a product that should is to at the end of the year.

In addition, the participants of the event discussed the possibilities of further building up partnerships within the framework of the ASU agricultural project with the countries of the Caspian Sea, using the existing potential and established ties of the university.
